Continuous Assessment

HPEDSB Special Education Services has been reviewing the ways in which our students access assistive technology in our schools. When consulting neighboring boards and effective practices across the province we noticed a similarity in processes that reported a high level of student adoption and teacher integration: evidence tracking BEFORE ordering. Throuh consultation with Special Education Coordinators, In School Resource Teachers, Third Party Professionals, Information Technology Services and System Educational Technology Supports, HPEDSB has developed a more refined lens for our staff and students to look at accessing Assisitve Technology.
